Recently, BYD made a splash at the 2024 Indonesia International Auto Show with its four new models, while also revealing pricing information for models including the BYD DOLPHIN (known as Dolphin in overseas markets), BYD SEAL (known as Seal overseas), and BYD ATTO 3 (known as Yuan PLUS overseas). This marks another significant milestone for BYD since its announcement on January 18 of its official entry into the Indonesian automotive market.
At the 2024 Indonesia International Auto Show, BYD's exhibition space reached 1505 square meters, showcasing not only the three models above but also the new energy luxury MPV Denza D9. Liu Xueliang, head of BYD's Asia-Pacific automotive sales division, emphasized that BYD is committed to offering competitively priced new energy vehicles, aiming to encourage Indonesian consumers to transition to new energy vehicles.
According to information released at the event, the long-range version of the BYD DOLPHIN is priced at approximately IDR 425 million (about RMB 196,000) in Indonesia, the long-range version of the BYD ATTO 3 at around IDR 515 million (about RMB 237,000), and the long-range and performance versions of the BYD SEAL are priced at approximately IDR 629 million (about RMB 289,000) and IDR 719 million (about RMB 331,000) respectively.
During the exhibition, BYD Indonesia also signed a memorandum of understanding with Mandiri Bank, with both parties committing to jointly promote the adoption of new energy vehicles and provide consumers with more convenient electric vehicle purchasing solutions.
Zhao Yue, General Manager of BYD Indonesia, stated that Mandiri Bank's vision of green transportation and green finance aligns closely with BYD's goal of building a zero-emission ecosystem, and both parties will contribute to the advancement of sustainable development and the construction of a green transportation system.
In 2023, BYD's global sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 3 million units, maintaining its position as the world's top seller of new energy vehicles. Additionally, BYD's annual export volume exceeded 242,000 units, with its new energy passenger vehicles now available in 62 countries and regions worldwide, further deepening its overseas market presence.
