On March 4, 2024, during a visit to Indonesia, an economic and trade delegation from Zibo City successfully established a strategic partnership with Indonesian company IGH, aiming to further enhance the export channels of local enterprises in Zibo and promote the global distribution of high-quality local products. The delegation was composed of leaders from Zibo's trade promotion agencies, district and county governments, and commerce departments, as well as entrepreneurs from fields such as new materials, light industry, modern agriculture, energy conservation and environmental protection, and intelligent manufacturing. The goal of this trip was to promote economic and trade exchanges between Zibo and the international market and attract foreign investment. The visit itinerary included Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam. During the trip, the delegation actively participated in several important meetings, including the "China (Shandong) – Indonesia Enterprise Exchange Meeting," the "Shandong – Cambodia Economic Corridor Construction Cooperation Conference," the "Mekong-Lancang Meeting," and the "Shandong – Vietnam Industrial Cooperation Exchange Meeting." They also planned to visit key institutions such as the Indonesian Ceramic Industry Association, the Cambodia Shandong Chamber of Commerce, and the Vietnam Shandong Chamber of Commerce, conduct field inspections of overseas warehouses, cross-border e-commerce platforms, Zibo-invested enterprises abroad, industrial parks, and potential partners, with the aim of extensively carrying out business negotiations, trade matchmaking, and investment attraction activities. At 8:00 AM on March 4, the delegation arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, and immediately went to NPTC1 Port Company for inspection, learning in detail about the port layout and construction, as well as the company's transportation and customs clearance policies for chemicals and food products. Notably, NPTC1 Port is one of the largest cargo ports in Indonesia. Both parties had in-depth discussions on cargo transportation and product promotion. IGH Company is a global leader in providing one-stop logistics services, serving over 100 countries and regions and supporting the global logistics needs of more than 3,000 clients. The Zibo economic and trade delegation visited IGH's logistics base and overseas warehouses and gained an in-depth understanding of its global logistics services and cross-border e-commerce operations. By leveraging each other's advantages and utilizing IGH's resource network and digital marketing strategies, both parties decided to sign a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote Zibo's distinctive high-quality products. It is worth noting that in recent years, Zibo City has continuously strengthened economic and trade cooperation with Southeast Asian countries, especially in import and export business with Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia, with their global rankings rising to 6th, 7th, and 38th respectively.
