KIJA Group, the operator of Indonesia's Jababeka Industrial Park, has reached a strategic cooperation with China's Silk Road Group to jointly establish a China-Indonesia Innovation Cooperation Center, intensifying efforts to attract Chinese enterprises to invest in Indonesia. Based on a project-oriented and sustainable cooperation model, various benchmark industrial projects will be steadily implemented, deepening bilateral industrial and digital economy collaboration. The founder of Jababeka Industrial Park stated that the two sides will start with demonstration project development and gradually advance investment implementation. The first key plan is the 500-hectare Jababeka Digital Park, which is expected to be officially launched at the World Digital Economy Forum to be held in Beijing in early July 2026. This cooperation aims to create a core gateway for Chinese investors entering the Indonesian market, while helping domestic Indonesian industries access the Chinese market, further consolidating Indonesia's strategic investment position in Southeast Asia. The cooperation focuses not only on attracting investment but also on building a complete and sustainable industrial ecosystem. The Innovation Cooperation Center will provide one-stop comprehensive support for Chinese enterprises, covering administrative approvals, park resource integration, local supply chain connections, and other supporting services, lowering the barriers for enterprise establishment and operations. At the same time, it will help high-quality Indonesian products explore Chinese and global markets, achieving two-way trade and industrial connectivity. The Chairman of China's Silk Road Group pointed out that China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation has entered a golden period of high-quality development. As the largest economy in Southeast Asia and an important member of RCEP, Indonesia has huge industrial upgrade demand and digital transformation potential; China has global leading advantages in fields such as artificial intelligence, industrial robots, and digital technology. The two countries have strong industrial complementarity and broad prospects for digital economy cooperation. Both sides have finalized three core cooperation directions: digital economy, artificial intelligence, and robotics & smart manufacturing, covering diverse areas such as smart healthcare, smart factories, oil and gas energy management, smart cities, modern agriculture, and digital finance. In addition, both sides will jointly hold exhibitions and economic forums, expand business networks, improve cross-border logistics and supply chain systems, and enhance the efficiency of two-way trade. To strengthen two-way promotion and industrial connectivity, both sides will set up display exhibition halls at the Innovation Cooperation Centers in Beijing and Jakarta respectively, serving as platforms for regular exchanges, results display, and business matchmaking. This strong alliance will continue to promote the landing of high-tech and smart manufacturing industries in Indonesia, accelerate the local industrial upgrade and digital transformation, and achieve a mutually beneficial and win-win long-term development pattern for both countries.
