The Minister of Trade stated that they will impose administrative sanctions on traders selling problematic electronic products. Electronic products that do not meet Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and Safety, Health, and Environment (K3L) requirements as well as warranty card manuals will be destroyed. The confiscated electronic goods include nine categories of electronic devices. The Ministry of Trade plans to first confiscate and ban the trade of goods that do not meet Indonesian marketable standards or do not comply with SNI and other standards. If this situation continues, it will harm the national economy, so subsequent sanctions will be more stringent. The Ministry of Trade has detained 40,282 electronic products worth 6.7 billion Indonesian rupiah, including nine categories of goods, of which 99% came from China. According to his statement, the number of goods subject to trade restrictions has quadrupled because all countries are protecting their domestic industries. He believes that for Indonesia to become a developed country, its economy must achieve growth. Whether it is revitalizing small industries or micro, small, and medium enterprises, the government must provide development support so that Indonesia can catch up with other developed countries.
