The 7th China (Indonesia) Trade Expo grandly opened today in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. As the largest-scale exhibition held by China in Indonesia, the China (Indonesia) Trade Expo has become an important window for Chinese enterprises to enter the Indonesian market. This edition attracted nearly a thousand enterprises from 18 provinces and cities including Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Shandong, as well as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and local Indonesian companies. The total exhibition area reaches 40,000 square meters. The expo covers 9 professional exhibition zones, including Industrial Equipment and Parts, Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics, Building Materials and Home Decoration, Photovoltaic Exhibition, Toys and Baby Products, Global Textile and Apparel, International Home and Gifts, Plastic Printing and Packaging Equipment, and Furniture, encompassing more than 35 industry subcategories, fully showcasing the outstanding strength of Chinese products and brands. A major highlight of this expo is the use of digital tools throughout the exhibition period to achieve precise matching of demand and supply. Before the exhibition, potential buyers are screened through the database, and the platform precisely invites them to lock in business opportunities in advance. During the exhibition, automatic reminders are triggered when buyers arrive, guiding them to the invited booths to ensure no customer is missed. After the exhibition, continuous online negotiations with visitors help follow up on orders. With the deepening of the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Indonesia cooperation has become increasingly close. Indonesia, as the world's fourth most populous country and the largest economy in Southeast Asia, shows tremendous foreign trade potential. Data shows that in 2023, the bilateral trade volume between China and Indonesia reached $139.4 billion, with China remaining Indonesia's largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years. This four-day expo is hosted by the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government, organized by the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Miolant International Exhibitions, co-hosted by the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Shaoxing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the Jiaxing CCPIT, with guidance from the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the Department of Commerce of Shanxi Province.
