rnrnChamber IntroductionrnrnThe China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, formerly known as the Chinese Business Association in Indonesia (English name: Chinese Business Association in Indonesia), was established in May 2005. On September 28, 2010, it was renamed the China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (English name: China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia), and in December 2015, it was renamed the China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia. The chamber is a non-profit, non-political civil society organization spontaneously formed by Chinese-funded institutions and Chinese individuals in Indonesia. Its purpose is to serve Chinese-funded enterprises registered in Indonesia, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises in Indonesia, enhance the traditional friendship between the people of China and Indonesia, promote friendly cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and Indonesian enterprises, and play an important role as a bridge and bond.rnrnThe chamber currently has over 260 member units, all of which are Chinese-funded enterprises, including Fortune Global 500 state-owned enterprises as well as China's top 100 private enterprises and industry-leading private companies. It covers multiple industries such as energy, mining, transportation, finance, insurance, electronic information, machinery, engineering contracting, chemicals, and trade.rnrnThe highest authority of the chamber is the General Assembly of Members. The Board of Directors is the permanent body of the General Assembly, entrusted to exercise the powers of the General Assembly during its adjournment and to decide and handle the daily affairs of the association. The chamber has a Secretariat responsible for daily affairs and liaison work. The chamber implements a system of industry liaisons. Based on the specific conditions of different industries, the current member units are divided into 12 industry sub-chambers and regional sub-chambers—Bali Sub-chamber and Riau Sub-chamber—covering thermal power, hydropower and new energy, electromechanical equipment, agriculture, finance, petrochemicals, rail transportation, hydraulic engineering, construction materials, mining and metallurgy, logistics and transportation, and real estate.
